Prince Harry revealed his final words to his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II in his upcoming memoir.

"I whispered that I hoped she was happy and that she was with Grandfather now. I said that I admired her for having carried out her duties until the end," Harry said in his book, as quoted by Daily Mail.

The controversial memoir, "Spare," is set to be released on Jan. 10.

In it, the Duke of Sussex shared how he learned of the Queen's condition after checking the BBC news website. Upon arriving at Balmoral, he was taken upstairs to the late queen's room, where Queen Elizabeth was lying in bed.

"I advanced with uncertainty and saw her. I stayed still, watching her carefully for a good while," the Duke wrote.

Prince Harry attended the 10-day mourning period for the Queen with his wife, Meghan Markle.

Following the Queen's death in September, Prince Harry released a statement saying he was forever grateful for her.

"In celebrating the life of my grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen—and in mourning her loss—we are all reminded of the guiding compass she was to so many in her commitment to service and duty," Harry said, as quoted by CBS News.

"She was globally admired and respected. Her unwavering grace and dignity remained true throughout her life and now her everlasting legacy. Let us echo the words she spoke after the passing of her husband, Prince Philip, words which can bring comfort to all of us now: 'Life, of course, consists of final partings as well as first meetings.'"

The Prince, who stepped down from his royal position with Markle, also shared his sentiments about the royal family in his upcoming book.

He alleged that his brother, Prince William, once physically attacked him during a heated argument over his marriage to Markle.

He said that Prince William called Markle "difficult," "rude" and "abrasive," which led to the confrontation escalating to a fight.

Prince Harry also shared his thoughts on Markle's role on the TV show "Suits" in his memoir.
